Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullah
Dear Brothers and Sisters
Thank you for all the responses received by us concerning the submission of weekly reports online.
Please be informed that the main objective of the request is to monitor the current status of students in the industry, so that we do not have to wait until the end of the training.
Kindly be informed that EIT is part of University’s ISO and under the EAC requirements (EAC = Engineering Accreditation Council).
Please also remember that EIT course has 4 credit hours.
Thus, the kulliyyah would need to improve this course from time to time in order to fulfill the ISO and EAC requirements. In the kulliyyah’s recent meeting, kulliyyah has decided that one way for the improvement is to obtain reports from the students as early as possible so that kulliyyah will be able to assess and react immediately to any necessary matters.
Students are requested to submit weekly reports to the Programme Coordinators for weekly evaluation. Since the kulliyyah awares that students are so busy in the industry, students are then required to submit in every 2 weeks (1 report X 2 weeks = 2 reports) ~ students are welcomed to submit their reports every week if they have no problems to do so.
In order to avoid job abundance, you may scan the reports written in the log book and send to your Programme Coordinator in soft copy form.
On the other way round, you may also print your online reports and paste to the log book for your hard copy submission.(to be submitted together with your EIT Final/Hardcover Report within 2 weeks after finishing EIT).
For students who have started their EIT earlier (on 25/4/2011), you are required to submit 4 reports as at 20/5/2011.
We regret of any inconveniences caused.
Your cooperation on this matter is highly appreciated. Wassalam
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maizirwan Mel
Coordinator, EIT Unit, Kulliyyah of Engineering
